To Whom It May Concern:
I've
known Curtis "Hector" Thompson for what seems like a miserably long
time, but in actuality is a bit more than ten years; in those ten
years, I've watched him immerse himself, ramp up, and ultimately become
absurdly proficient, in several fields from graphic design, to web page
design, to web application development, to full fledged java
application and framework development, and, most recently, video
compositing.
In
addition to knowing him as a good friend, I've also had the pleasure to
hire him and work with him at the ill-fated Troba. Much to my constant
appreciation, he repeatedly met and exceeded my already high
expectations and demands for quality and productivity in a worker; more
concretely, I can state quite honestly that he is only one of two
people in my life with whom I've worked on any intellectual level that
I've not at some point felt mistaken in my selection.
Keenly
intelligent, and a statistically anomalous dissident from the mass of
worthless-slack-jawed-yokels that was our shared subculture in Tucson,
Arizona, he is in many facets what there is to be found in a
techno-renaissance man today. I'm honoured to have had the chance to
know him.
PS: Screw Flanders.
