We've crossed paths with Ross in a variety of his roles -- and there have been a lot of them! So we thought it would be easier for him to tell the story himself!

I've straddled the creative/technical line of the industry for over 15 years as a staff and freelance compositor, FX supervisor, motion graphics designer and HD post supervisor. I was also a product specialist for Avid/SoftImage/Parallax for about 6 years, focusing on Avid's compositing, paint and finishing systems Matador, Illusion and then Avid|DS.

As a compositor and designer I worked on some memorable music videos for artists such as the Beastie Boys, Lyle Lovett and Wu-Tang Clan and on many forgettable agency, produced commercials for American Express, Maxwell House, Petridge Farms, Continental Airlines, Office Depot, Outback Steakhouse (among many many others).

I've also enjoyed some experiences teaching (2 semesters of visual effects at NYU CADA program) and consulting/post supervising the HD indie films: "Particles of Truth" and "Rock the Paint".

I work (or have worked) on a lot of different systems/sfw including:

Imagineer: mokey, monet, mocha, motor

Avid: Media Composer, Symphony, Avid|DS, Illusion, Matador, Elastic Reality, Marquee

Adobe: AE, Photoshop, Illustrator

Wondertouch Particle Illusion

All Trapcode and most AE plug ins.

Always dabbling in: Flame/Smoke, XSI, Maya, Shake, FCP, Motion & Garage Band

I am currently enjoying my role as VP Sales/Prod specialist for Imagineer Systems - working from my new home in the Hudson Valley of NY state with wife Jenn and 4yr old daughter, Oona.

I may be a professional computer/video/film geek but I'm still a decent jazz/punk/funk bass player at heart...
