About Me
I was born in the Borders region of Scotland and found myself living in New York City by the age of seven. After going from Haggis to Sabrett hot dogs, there was no telling where I would wind up. My parents questioned this on a daily basis.

I have always gravitated to the arts, but realized that I had also officially crossed over into geekdom when I actually understood what a GOP was! I’ve always loved teaching and decided about a year and a half ago to become an Apple Certified Trainer in DVD Studio Pro.

I now teach at a number of Apple Certified Training Centers and recently finished my Motion training with Apple. I also have a full service CREATIVE company, Buttons Productions.

Though I don’t consider myself an editor in any way, shape or form, I am also involved in helping run the New Jersey Final Cut Pro Users Group. In what capacity? I’m the DVD Studio Pro and Motion guy!

Very happy to be part of the herd and looking forward to helping out.

Jem is the president and creative director of Buttons Productions, a CREATIVE production company that specializes in providing video, DVD, web and post production solutions for a variety corporate clients (with particular focus on the film, music and entertainment industries). He is also and Apple Certified Trainer and loves to teach when he’s not CREATING and trying to meet ungodly deadlines!
