Jayse is currently not sleeping.
In addition to working freelance, designing show intros, segments,
bumpers, special effects, web pages and print work, Jayse Hansen is
currently Creative-Art-Director for SMG in Las Vegas, NV.
His work is known internationally with clients in Europe, South Africa
and Canada such as Fox, Coca Cola, CBS, MTV and HBO. His motion work
has earned him numerous awards, including the Platinum “Best in Show”
category for the Prestigious Aurora Award, various First Place
Electronic Media Association Awards (EMA), and of course the
ever-elusive FWA (Favorite Website Awards) for his high-end
entertainment designs on sites such as www.loriannmusic.com and others as Sr. Creative-Art Director at www.cytekstudios.com
Most recently, he is hard at work designing video environments for
nightclubs such as the Hard Rock Biloxi and his video artwork has been
commissioned by noted luminaries such as Donald Trump for display on
some of the best and largest screens in some of the most magnificent
buildings in the world.
His work has been featured in books, DVD’s and websites by Adobe,
Trapcode, DigiEffects and more. He is a featured ‘Photoshop/After
Effects Expert’ and contributing author in various books such as “Photoshop for NonLinear Editors”, “Broadcast Graphics: On the Spot” and “After Effects @ Work”.
Through VTC, Jayse has produced and authored two best-selling instructional video series “After Effects Essentials” and “Photoshop: Advanced Artistry” – both of which have earned exceptional reviews and can be yours at www.xeler8r.com
For two years, Jayse was the After Effects Tech Chairman for NAB PostProduction World.
When not designing, Jayse has quite the social life. His friendly
gatherings, such as his 'PhreakyPhotoNite' on the Vegas Strip, have
grown so big that the BBC asked to film it for their upcoming 'Vegas Club and Rave Scene' documentary hosted by Paul Van Dyk.
At other times, you can usually find Jayse jumping from high places,
such as the bridges in South Africa, swing dancing with his girlfriend
Chelsea, or spinning fire on chains in an intense moving-meditation
called ‘Poi’.
