Marisu was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, but came to the USA at age 6.
BA – majors in Philosophy & Psychology, minors in Fine Art & Music
JD – law degree
Marisu began cutting film & video in the mid 1970's working on student films & some corporate video through college and graduate school. After law school she took a job as a production manager at a Baltimore firm -- the editor quit the next day and she ended up as the sole editor (corporate/commercial). After a few years, she moved to Milner-Fenwick where she was the senior editor for 21 years. Her recent work consists of long-form medical patient education (most shows range in the 15-30 minute category, some in the 1-2 hour range), some PBS programming and (very little) commercial work.
Now, after 25 years as a staff editor, she brings her creative touch to her own venture where she specializes in creative editorial and motion graphic services.
