Meet Robbie Carman

Robbie Carman is a Colorist and co-owner of Amigo Media LLC a small finishing boutique located in Washington, DC with a focus on broadcast television and independent film finishing. Robbie has 12 years of experience in SD and HD projects including hundreds of programs for Discovery Networks, National Geographic, PBS, MSNBC and others. Technical problem solving and workflow design are among his strengths.
Robbie is the co-author with Jason Osder of Final Cut Pro Workflows: The Independent Studio Handbook. Final Cut Studio on the Spot 3rd Edition with Richard Harrington and Abba Shapiro, Video Made on a Mac: Production and Post Production with Apple Final Cut Studio and Adobe Creative Suite with Richard Harrington, and DVD Studio Pro 4 3rd Edition. Robbie, contributed as the technical editor to Alexis Van Hurkman's The Encyclopedia of Color Correction for Final Cut Pro (Peach Pit),The Apple Pro Training Series book Color by David Gross and Michael Wohl (Peach Pit) and The Apple Pro Training Series book Final Cut Pro 7 Quick Reference by Brendan Boykin.
Robbie is also the author of Color Essential Training, Color 1.5 Essential Training, New Features in Color 1.5 and Getting Started with Apple Color.
In addition to to creative work, Robbie is also an Apple Certified Instructor and teaches all levels of Final Cut Pro Studio. He teaches and speaks nationally at conferences such as NAB, The Editors Retreat, The NY Post Production conference, and Government Video Expo.
Robbie lives with his wife and daughter in Alexandria, Virginia.
